Catholicos Sends Condolences to the President of Kazakhstan

On December 27, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, sent a letter of condolence to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, regarding the passenger plane crash near Almaty.

“On behalf of the Armenian people, we express our heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, the families of the victims of this tragedy, and to the entire fraternal people of Kazakhstan. We ask the Almighty to grant peace to the souls of the deceased and to provide comfort to their relatives and loved ones,” noted the Supreme Patriarch, expressing hope that the benevolent people of Kazakhstan will remain free from such tragedies and live a peaceful and safe life.
