Who Are the Richest Musicians of the Decade According to Forbes
Forbes has named the richest musicians of the decade. The ranking was published on the publication's website. Dr. Dre has taken the top spot. It is noted that the prominent producer has not released any albums since 2015 and has not toured since the turn of the millennium, but he has managed to earn $950 million. His financial success is attributed to the fact that the rapper owns 20 percent of the shares of Beats, a company acquired by Apple in 2014.
In second place is Taylor Swift ($825 million), followed by Beyoncé ($685 million). It is clarified that both female artists have earned a significant portion of their money through touring. Bono, the lead singer of the Irish rock band U2, has secured the fourth position. Rounding out the top five is hip-hop artist Diddy.
The top ten also includes Elton John, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Earlier in December, Forbes released its list of the highest-paid musicians of the year, with Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Ed Sheeran occupying the top three spots.
