Video: Abuses of Director of Sevan National Park's Vardenis Branch Uncovered

Based on operational information received by the Main Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Police, factual data have been obtained indicating that the director of the Vardenis branch of the Sevan National Park has committed abuses.

Specifically, between 2004 and 2019, by misusing official powers and violating legally established norms, he organized the extraction and sale of sand within the national park territory without state registration and permission, causing 23,580,000 AMD in damage to the state, with 8,000,000 AMD in unpaid state taxes.

A criminal case has been initiated at the police on charges of abuse of official powers, illegal entrepreneurship, and violation of the regime of specially protected natural areas. The criminal case has been forwarded to the investigative body.
