Rockets Fired from Gaza Target Ashkelon; Netanyahu Moved to Safe Area
A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territories was intercepted by Israel's "Iron Dome" air defense system, according to Korrespondent citing the Israeli Defense Forces. The rocket was fired at the city of Ashkelon in the south of the country, aimed at civilian populations.
At the time of the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was attending a campaign rally for the Likud party. He and his supporters were moved to a safe area. Upon returning to the rally site, Netanyahu advised those who targeted innocent civilians to pack their bags, stating that their actions would not go unanswered.
