Owner of ‘5th Channel’ Detained
Yerevan's General Jurisdiction Court, presided over by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, has announced its decision to detain Armen Tavadyan, the owner of the ‘5th Channel’. This was disclosed by Tavadyan’s lawyer, Hovhannes Khudoyan, during a conversation with reporters.
Earlier, it was reported that Tavadyan had been arrested. It is worth noting that Varuzhan Mkrtchyan, a supporter of Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan, has been charged under the first part of the fourth clause of Article 340 of the RA Criminal Code. In connection with this criminal case, Tavadyan was also arrested on suspicion of committing a crime outlined in the same article.
