Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports on Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of December 26 at 08:30, the roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. There is occasional black ice on the Vardenyats Pass. Drivers of heavy vehicles are advised to use chains.

In the Aragatsotn Province, there is black ice on some roads in the city of Aparan. Snowfall has been reported in the towns of Aparan and Talin in Aragatsotn Province, as well as in Hrazdan in Kotayk Province, Gyumri in Shirak Province, and in the village of Amasiya and Ashotsk.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Joint Command of EMERCOM in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
