Investigating Authority Has Periodically Invited Ajamyan's Relatives to the Investigative Committee: Harutyunyan
Today, the relatives of the deceased Arthur Ajamyan held a protest in front of the government building, demanding a meeting with the Prime Minister. They expressed to the Prime Minister that the Investigative Committee has not provided them with information regarding their case.
Naira Harutyunyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee, told SHANTNEWS.am that Ajamyan's relatives were at the Main Military Investigative Department yesterday.
Harutyunyan assured that the investigating authority has periodically invited them to the Investigative Committee and that the available information related to the case, which does not contain pre-trial secrecy, has been presented to them.
Regarding their claims that the examination of the criminal case is being directed by the Ministry of Defense, Naira Harutyunyan stated that no organization can direct the Committee regarding the course of the investigation of the case. "The Committee conducts a complete, multifaceted, and objective investigation within the framework of the powers granted to it by law," she concluded.
