I spoke with Aghamyan's grandfather yesterday, we are in constant contact: Andranik Kocharyan
During a meeting with reporters in the National Assembly, Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the Defense and Security Committee, stated that he spoke yesterday with the grandfather of Artur Aghamyan, who suffered a fatal gunshot wound at a military unit located in the northeastern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
The relatives of the deceased soldier are currently in front of the government, demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and asking for clarification on the circumstances of Aghamyan's death.
Aghamyan's mother mentioned Kocharyan's name during a conversation with reporters, stating that he had placed a soft pillow under her head, but is now refusing to answer calls.
In response to a journalist's question, Kocharyan explained that he had shared details about the situation with Aghamyan's grandfather and that an investigation is underway, stating, 'They have suspicions that the other soldier, who is in a coma, has come out of the coma and is allegedly being kept secret from them. He remains in a coma; I do not know who brought the relatives to the gates. However, we are in constant, daily contact with them, through both a lawyer and family members. The promises I made regarding conducting a completely objective investigation remain in effect.'
