Hrayr Tovmasyan to Be Questioned by Special Investigative Service
The President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, Hrayr Tovmasyan, has been summoned for questioning by the Special Investigative Service of Armenia.
This was confirmed by Tovmasyan's lawyer Amram Makinyan in response to a question from the 'Haykakan Zhamanak' newspaper, adding that the questioning will take place at 10:30 AM.
In response to inquiries about the matter, Makinyan stated that the procedure for questioning the President of the Constitutional Court has been followed.
It is worth noting that today rumors surfaced in the media indicating that investigators from the Special Investigative Service had visited the Constitutional Court, although the purpose of their visit remains unknown. In our conversation, Amram Makinyan declined to comment further on this, stating that he will provide details later.
Hrayr Tovmasyan is expected to be questioned in connection with a criminal case initiated based on a report from MP Arman Babajanyan. According to this report, a group of officials has allegedly embezzled state power. Tovmasyan's name has also been mentioned in relation to this case.
