«Hraparak». Demands for Khazhakyan to Resign His Mandate in LHK
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: Discussions regarding Davit Khazhakyan within the LHK have taken place in two phases. The first was intense, held at the «Holiday Inn» hotel during an LHK school event, where it was demanded and proposed that he resign from his council mandate. The main proponents of this were Mane Tandilyan and Taron Simonian, while Marukyan did not want to appear as the ‘bad man’ and took on the role of an arbiter.
Within the party, there were also those insisting that resigning the mandate was the right thing to do, but the opponents held a stronger position and noted that the press conferences of Edmon and Mane were the reason the topic gained traction, deepening the speculation that they are acting on Nikol's demand. “Mane phrased it poorly at the press conference, which created the impression that we were trying to silence Khazhakyan,” said a member of the LHK council.
“Mane was more interested in posing the question of how Khazhakyan would continue his mission moving forward.” How? “We came to a general conclusion that Khazhakyan continues, without assuming responsibility for the other members of the ‘Luyis’ bloc.”
