It Is Still Early to Summarize the Results of the ‘Putin Era’: Nazarbayev
The first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, believes it is still too early to summarize the results of the ‘Putin era’. Earlier, Nazarbayev stated that Russia's first president, Boris Yeltsin, took a long time to choose his successor, ultimately selecting Vladimir Putin, but 20 years ago, few understood that the ‘Putin era’ had begun in Russia.
“Here I would like to emphasize that the most objective and impartial assessment of any political figure is given by time. History does not have a subordinate mode, and I believe it is still early to discuss the ‘Putin era’ and summarize it,” he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
