‘Zhoghovurd’. Calls Made to Organization Leaders, Orders Given?

‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper reports: “Yesterday, the elections for the president of the Football Federation of Armenia took place in a heated atmosphere. During the extraordinary meeting, Armen Melikbekyan was elected as the president of the FFA with 13 votes in his favor, while 7 votes were cast for Tovmas Grigoryan, and 3 ballots were deemed invalid.

The elections for the FFA president did not go smoothly, as pressures had already been voiced prior to this event. According to information obtained by ‘Zhoghovurd’, even after Armen Melikbekyan's election, delegates and attendees continued to discuss these pressures.

Moreover, the defeated candidate Tovmas Grigoryan reportedly possesses relevant recordings indicating that calls were made to leaders of organizations, and orders were given. However, in a conversation with ‘Zhoghovurd’, Grigoryan stated that he has not yet made a decision regarding approaching law enforcement. At this moment, they are considering the option of completely nullifying the election results and filing a complaint. They are expected to reach a final decision today.”
