Refunds for Canceled Goran Bregović Concert Tickets
Refunds will be issued for the canceled concert tickets of renowned musician Goran Bregović in Yerevan. This was confirmed in an interview with Victoria Maloyan, a producer at AVM Production, the event organizer.
The concert was originally scheduled for October 18 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex but was postponed to November 24. Eventually, it was entirely canceled when it was announced that Bregović would perform on New Year's Eve at Republic Square at the invitation of the Yerevan city hall.
The tickets for the event at the sports complex were priced between 5,000 to 60,000 AMD. Recently, there were complaints on social media indicating that the organizers were not refunding the tickets; however, Maloyan assured that this is not the case. She noted that refunds for around 40% of the sold tickets are still to be processed.
AVM Production is currently asking the audience to be patient and reports that the refunds will be made with a slight deviation from the schedule. Maloyan also stated that refunds for the tickets sold thus far are being made from their own funds. She mentioned that in preparation for the concert, AVM Production had made advance payments to Bregović, as well as to the sports complex (for renting the hall) and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
According to her, none of these payments have been refunded to AVM Production, which is why the ticket refunds are being handled from personal resources. AVM Production has sent an official letter to Bregović's representatives requesting the return of the funds but has yet to receive a response.
