Crocodile Breeding Farm Project Frozen Due to Environmental Issues
The "Eco Park of Astonishment" project (crocodile breeding farm) has been frozen, Khachatur Sargsyan, founder-director of "Armon" LLC and "KLAD Tanzania LLC," said in an interview with Aysor.am.
"The project is frozen due to ecological issues, which we have addressed, but nobody is being diligent about it. The entire Hrazdan River is polluted; all the wastewater is being dumped into the Hrazdan River, and during the summer months, when the river is closed, only sewage moves through that area. You can't imagine the state of affairs, and no one wants to solve this problem," he said.
Khachatur Sargsyan stated that the issue lies with the "Veolia Water" company. "I don't understand why journalists and those environmentalists who raise issues on every topic are silent. Go to Ghukasavan village, and you will see how all this sewage is flowing into the Hrazdan River, and we can't do any work there because it's an ecological disaster," the director of "Armon" company told the news outlet.
He mentioned that the project had already been clearly approved, and investors had already put in their money and had come to Armenia in October.
