Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia Held
The 8th summit of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia was held in Tbilisi in a trilateral format. After the meeting, Ministers Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Elmar Memmedyarov, and David Zalkaliani held a joint press conference, as reported by ermenihaber.
Çavuşoğlu stated that such mechanisms are important for discussing bilateral and regional issues. The Turkish minister declared that his country has excellent relations with Azerbaijan and Georgia, adding, “We want our cooperation and solidarity to serve as an example for neighboring countries in the region.”
He also noted that the three sides confirmed their determination to continue working towards increasing the volumes of freight transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
