Criminal case linked to Judge Arthur Avagyan's involvement closed
The criminal case launched two months ago regarding the incident involving Administrative Court Judge Arthur Avagyan has been closed. In response to a question from "Haykakan Zhamanak," the Special Investigative Service (SIS) informed that the case was closed due to lack of evidence of a crime.
It is worth recalling that the media reported that on October 26 at around 14:38, an emergency response unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, with their lights on, requested to pass by the driver of a Mazda with license plate 12 NN 021 near the "Arinj Mall." However, the driver exited the vehicle and confronted the rescuers performing their professional duties, pointing a weapon-like object towards them. The driver threatened with a pistol, stating that he would "kill everyone."
The Kotayk police discovered that the vehicle belonged to Yerevan resident N.K. Hours later, 35-year-old Arthur Avagyan presented himself at the Kotayk police station, declaring that he had been driving the Mazda and that he possessed a "Bruni 84" model pistol during the incident, but denied aiming it at anyone or making threats.
