Biography of the New President of the HFF
It has just been revealed that Armen Melikbekyan has been elected as the president of the HFF.
Melikbekyan was born on May 10, 1980, in Yerevan. From 1997 to 2002, he studied at Yerevan's V. Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences, at the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Languages. From 2002 to 2005, he continued his studies at the same university in the graduate program of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Languages.
During 1999-2000, he worked as a correspondent for the National Television of Armenia's “Sport” studio. From 2001 to 2002, he served as the editor for the website Dailyfootball.com, and from 2002 to 2003, he was the editor-in-chief of Footballtoday.ru.
Melikbekyan has also been a sports commentator for Armenian Public Television and since 2005 has held the position of Deputy Executive Director of the Football Federation of Armenia. He is married.
