Messi Ends Year with 50 or More Goals for the 9th Time

Barcelona's captain Lionel Messi scored in the match against Alaves (4-1), bringing his total goals for 2019 to 50. The 32-year-old Argentine has finished with 50 or more goals for the sixth consecutive year and for the ninth time in his career.

According to ArmSport.am, Messi has surpassed the 50 goal mark in 9 of the last 10 years. He previously achieved this feat in the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

In the current La Liga season, Messi has scored 13 goals.
