President Armen Sarkissian Visits Shushi
Armen Sarkissian, the President of the Republic of Armenia, has traveled to Shushi for a working visit, accompanied by his wife, Nune Sarkissian. On December 21, they were welcomed at the Grigori Gabrielian State Geological Museum in Shushi.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, they were accompanied by the museum's founder, Professor Gabrielian, and learned about the collection of rocks and rare types of minerals that have been brought from more than 40 countries around the world, including their origins and histories.
The museum features approximately 500 specimens, some of which are local finds from Artsakh, while the rest primarily belong to Professor Grigori Gabrielian's personal collection, which has been donated to the museum.
In Shushi, President Sarkissian and Mrs. Nune Sarkissian also visited the St. Savior Ghazanchetsots Church.
