International relations expert Suren Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page:

  1. Main questions:
  2. As of now, Trump has been impeached (charges have been brought against him).
  3. No removal from office has occurred.
  4. The "trial" in the Senate is set for January, with several congressmen performing prosecutorial functions.
  5. He continues to be the President of the United States without any restrictions on his powers.
  6. He is eligible to participate in the 2020 elections.
  7. The chances of re-election are greater than in 2016.
  8. Even if the Senate removes him (1% probability), Mike Pence will become President, and there will be no snap elections.
