If the authorities instruct school directors to block ballot boxes with their bodies, most will comply: Zohrapyan
Addressing the issue raised by the previous speaker Levon Barseghyan, NA Prosperous Armenia faction MP Naira Zohrapyan stated in the NA: “I have no guarantees, I am almost certain that if today the authorities instruct school directors to do the same thing—be it to plaster the walls with pictures or to block the ballot box with their bodies—overwhelmingly, most will do it. No one should claim that they would not do it, because a revolution has occurred in their midst.”
She also spoke about the fight against corruption in universities, stating: “Corruption in higher education fiercely resists on the front lines; it is good that the discourse and discussions around educational reforms have intensified, of course, extreme opinions are heard advocating for the dismantling of everything. Recently, some modernists are trying to oppose the national to the contemporary, but who said that the national cannot be modern? It can indeed be very modern. I am not an anarchist, but I want to quote an anarchist thought from Bakunin, which I subscribe to every word: ‘The contemporary is not a sensationalist propaganda of anti-aestheticism and degeneracy,’ and the traditional is not an anachronism. I am indeed tolerant until the moment my personal space is invaded without my permission,” Zohrapyan concluded her speech.
