My Step faction MP Andranik Kocharyan criticized the initiative by cultural figures who have launched a petition demanding the release of former President Robert Kocharyan during a conversation with reporters today.

He questioned what these singers were saying on March 1, 2008, stating, “These singers served the authorities and not the people.”

The MP added that these individuals do not want the events of March 1 to be uncovered.
