Mariam Pashinyan Addresses Rumors Surrounding Her Name in the Press
The senior daughter of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mariam Pashinyan, has addressed the rumors published in the media, which claim that she drives a car worth $27,000.
Mariam Pashinyan specifically wrote: “I am confident that almost everyone knows what is reality and what is false propaganda. I live a simple, ordinary human life, and that is precisely why they are more agitated, which only doubles their desire and effort to identify us with them. The car that is being talked about so much has been used for security purposes since 2018 (it cannot be a 2019 model). I don’t know when it was acquired, I have never been interested in whether it is new or old (I still don’t know). I did not choose the car, and for me, there was initially no difference which car would be used for security reasons. Moreover, these changes have been quite difficult for me. The vehicle is not my personal property and serves, and will continue to serve, solely the state. The dream of certain individuals to identify us with the former ones will remain unfulfilled. Specific campaigns are being conducted on social networks to implement that dream, with large groups of graphic designers, SMM specialists, and Photoshop experts involved. Various social media tools (sponsored, ad, etc.) are being utilized, and, of course, thousands of dollars are being spent to disseminate false information through various news sites. And those news websites that have a clear mandate to conduct propaganda and create a false impression about us are in a state of crisis in terms of creativity and work. They secretly photograph me when I am getting out of the car and going to work (which, by the way, I have been doing for a year and a half now), insert false information into the materials, and consider their task accomplished. I suggest that those funds and resources be invested in a more useful cause since your task of presenting us in a false light will never become a reality.”
