We Are in a Fight: Levon Kocharyan

The son of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, Levon Kocharyan, addressed his father's health situation, stating to reporters that there are no serious health issues. “Some post-operative procedures need to be done, but there is nothing serious,” he said.

It is noted that Robert Kocharyan is currently undergoing post-operative examination at the Izmirlian Medical Center.

Levon Kocharyan also mentioned that he is unaware of why lawyer Haik Alumyany requested that a portion of the court session be held behind closed doors. “It came as a surprise to me,” he stated, emphasizing that the authorities have clearly dictated their desire regarding this case.

He noted that they do not see an issue with Kocharyan spending New Year’s in detention. “It’s a fight, we are in a fight, and we understand that the authorities are imposing their will, and part of the judicial system is still subject to all of this. We are ready to fight, and we will continue until the end, until justice is restored,” Levon Kocharyan said.
