Kocharian Remains in Hospital, Prohibits Disclosure of Health Information
Key defendant in the March 1 case, Robert Kocharian continues to be at the "Izmirlian" Medical Center. Today, results of his examination will be received, determining whether Kocharian will be discharged today or tomorrow. This was stated by Armen Charchyan, the executive director of the medical center, in an interview with Armenian Time.
"Today's analysis is decisive. If everything is completely clear, he will leave today; if there’s even a slight concern, he will continue treatment for another day. It is better for him to stay here an extra day than to leave and later need to return," Charchyan said.
When asked whether Kocharian underwent another surgery or is undergoing a preventive examination, Charchyan responded, "Since this is personal information, Mr. Kocharian has categorically prohibited the disclosure of his personal data." He added that, regardless, Kocharian's condition has improved since the last examination.
It should be noted that Kocharian was transferred to the "Izmirlian" Medical Center on December 11 for postoperative examination. "I am not sure if there has been a new surgery. I need to be informed. I assume there has been, but I need to confirm further details. We will provide additional information about what has occurred," said Kocharian’s spokesperson, Viktor Soghomonyan, in a conversation with reporters. However, contact with him could not be established.
Kocharian had undergone surgery on October 9. Later, Kocharian's son, Levon Kocharian, informed reporters that a tumor had been discovered in his father, which has been surgically removed. According to Levon Kocharian, the tumor was benign.
