Court of Appeals Holds Closed Session
The Court of Appeals, chaired by Judge Lusine Abgaryan, has commenced hearings today regarding the appeal filed by former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan's defense team against the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction's decision not to release him on bail.
During the session, Robert Kocharyan's lawyer Hayk Alumyany requested the court to conduct a closed session to discuss issues related to Judge Lusine Abgaryan's connections. The prosecutors and representatives of the injured party did not object to this request.
It is noteworthy that this is the first session under the chairmanship of Judge Lusine Abgaryan. Previously, the case was being examined by Judge Mkhitar Papoyan, who recused himself at the request of the prosecution.
