Emerging New Trend is a Gift to Power, Similar to the Trojan Horse: David Khajakyan
In established political systems, the differences between power and opposition are ideological or at least determined by differing approaches. This was stated by David Khajakyan, the head of the "Light" faction of the Yerevan Council, on his Facebook page.
“A new trend is emerging in the Armenian political system. This trend is not pro-government, but it is aimed at supporting the government's activities. Even conditionally labeling this trend as opposition would not be logical, as it is geared towards supporting the activities of the government (the ruling party).
Many believe that this trend is a gift to the government, as the rhetoric is identical, and the direct target is non-governmental forces. I also believe that this is a gift to the government, precisely like the gift of the Trojan horse left beneath the walls of Troy. As for what will happen when the government accepts this gift, you can see in the history textbooks,” he noted.
