VIDEO: Women Wanted for Car Theft
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is taking measures to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the car theft in the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts.
According to preliminary information, on August 20, 2019, a resident of Yerevan reported to the Central Division of the Police that between 21:00 on August 19, 2019, and 09:00 on August 20, 2019, an unknown individual broke the window of his 'Opel' vehicle parked on Charents Street in Yerevan with the intention of secretly stealing someone else's property, and stole newly purchased shoes and a gas cylinder from the car, causing significant property damage.
A criminal case was initiated at the Central Division of the Police under Article 177, Part 2, Point 3 of the RA Criminal Code, and it was transferred to the Investigative Committee's Central and Norq-Marash District Investigative Division.
During the pre-trial investigation, recordings from surveillance cameras in a shoe store were obtained, showing two women returning the apparently stolen shoes.
To ensure a comprehensive, objective, and thorough investigation of the criminal case, measures are being taken to identify the individuals involved in the crime.
