VIDEO: 50-Year-Old Man Arrested for Suspected Drug Acquisition and Possession

As a result of cooperation between the National Security Service and the police, a case of illegal drug trafficking was uncovered on December 5.

This information was reported by the police. Operational data was carried out by officers from the Drug Trafficking Investigation Department of the Criminal Police, the Customs Anti-Smuggling Department, and the Mashtots District Police.

A 50-year-old man, a resident of the capital, was detained on suspicion of acquiring and possessing drugs on Leningradian Street in Yerevan. During a personal search, over 100 grams of hashish-like liquid and over 78 grams of hashish-like semi-dry substance were discovered.

According to the currently known facts of the investigation, the substances were sent to the man from abroad. A criminal case has been initiated by the territorial investigative department, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
