Details on the Attempted Murder in Ejmiatsin

On November 14, a 27-year-old young man was transferred to the 'Vagharshapat' medical center with gunshot wounds from Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Ejmiatsin. More than 10 fired cartridges of various calibers were found at the scene, as well as the victim's 'Mercedes', marked with traces of gunfire.

A criminal case has been initiated, and within its framework, officers from the Vagharshapat division, along with colleagues from other police units and investigators, conducted extensive operational and investigative measures. As a result, the identities of those involved in the armed incident became known.

It was also revealed that the individuals who attempted the murder were in a 'BMW' vehicle, which was operated by a 25-year-old local resident of Ejmiatsin. He was located and taken into custody. The young man was charged and subsequently arrested. Further measures led law enforcement to discover the 'BMW', which was relocated from the village of Byurakan to the secured area of the division.

Through various operational-investigative activities, it became known that the young man with gunshot wounds, transferred from 'Vagharshapat' medical center to 'Nairi' medical center in Yerevan, was in possession of a firearm in the hospital room. On December 5, with the court's decision, officers from the police and investigation committee searched the hospital room and discovered a pistol loaded with three 9mm cartridges, one of which was in the chamber. A forensic examination has been appointed.

Operational and investigative measures to clarify all circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
