Photos: Ford Transit Vehicle Burns with Driver Inside, Condition Critical

On December 4, at 15:36, the 911 service received a report that a Ford Transit vehicle was burning near building 45 in the Norashen neighborhood of Yerevan.

Two fire and rescue teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to the scene. The fire was contained by 15:48 and extinguished by 15:53.

The engine compartment and cabin of the Ford Transit vehicle were completely burnt, and the cargo area suffered thermal damage. The driver, Hovik T. (born in 1983), was hospitalized with various degrees of bodily injuries at the National Burns Center, where doctors assessed his condition as critical.
