Emergency Vehicle Hits 17-Year-Old Student in Yerevan
In Yerevan, an accident occurred today, December 4th. At approximately 7:10 AM, 63-year-old Sargis M. struck a pedestrian, 17-year-old Hovik S., who resides on Kurginyan Street, with his Ford vehicle bearing the license plate 455 SL 24 on Sebastiya Street in front of building 155/3.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene; instead, he transported the injured individual to the 'Astghik' Medical Center before reporting the incident to the traffic police. The vehicle has been moved to a designated area controlled by Yerevan's traffic police.
Sources indicate that driver Sargis M. works at the Talin hospital, and the vehicle belongs to the mentioned hospital. He was returning to Talin after transferring a patient to the 'Erebuni' hospital.
Officials from the 'Astghik' Medical Center have reported that the injured student is in extremely critical condition. The victim is a 10th grader at one of Yerevan's schools and is known to be an exemplary student and a beloved peer.
