Jewelry Worth 690,000 Dram Stolen Through Threats Along With Alcohol and Cash
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has uncovered several circumstances surrounding a robbery that took place in the village of Aragats, Aragatsotn Province. Three individuals have been charged in connection with the case.
According to the collected evidence, on November 18, 2019, around 23:30, individuals engaged in a robbery entered a residence in the village of Aragats with prior agreement to commit large-scale theft of someone else's property. They threatened the homeowner with violence endangering her life and health using a blunt object and stole gold jewelry valued at approximately 690,000 Armenian drams, two bank cards, alcoholic beverages, and cash. Afterward, they bound the woman's hands and feet with adhesive tape and fled the scene.
Two men born in 1982 and 1980 have been charged under the first, second, third, and fourth sections of Article 175 of the RA Criminal Code, while a man born in 1989 has been charged under the same Article and also under the second section of Article 324. Pre-trial detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint for them. The investigation is ongoing.
