Video: How Rescuers Free Vehicles and People from Snow Blockades
On December 2, at 17:30, the "911" service received a report that a "Suzuki" vehicle had gone off the traffic area on the Mastara-Lanjik road due to black ice and was stuck in the snow. A crew from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
Around 18:00, the "911" service received another report indicating that due to deteriorating weather conditions, it was necessary to temporarily close the Mastara-Lanjik stretch of road, as approximately 20 vehicles were trapped.
Rescuers freed the "Suzuki" vehicle (driver Atom K. and 2 passengers) from the blockade. On their way back, near the village of Mastara, rescuers additionally freed 18 more vehicles (42 passengers, 5 of whom were transported to the Talin fire and rescue service).
