Record Number of Murders in Mexico on December 1

On December 1, a record number of murder cases were reported in Mexico. Mexican authorities have indicated that such a high number of crimes has not been recorded in this year. Law enforcement agencies documented 127 murders across various regions of the country.

This information was reported by Noticias MVS, referencing law enforcement sources. It was noted that in November, the highest number recorded in a single day was 79 murder cases. Overall, there were 2,370 murder cases reported in November, which is an increase of 14 compared to October’s figures. In October, the number of murders in the country was recorded at 2,356.

From January to December 2019, approximately 29,500 people were murdered in the country.
