Aronian Advances One Position in FIDE Rankings

The leading Armenian chess player Levon Aronian has improved his standing in the latest FIDE ranking list. In the December ranking, Aronian is in 6th place, having moved up one position compared to the previous month. The leader of the ranking remains the current world champion Magnus Carlsen.

Among the representatives of Armenia, Gabriel Sargsyan is ranked 47th and Hrant Melkumyan is in 72nd place in the top 100 chess players.
