Robbery Case Discovered in Lernahovit Village: Two Individuals Arrested

The investigation department of the Lori Province of the Republic of Armenia has revealed several circumstances surrounding a robbery that took place in the village of Lernahovit. Two individuals have been arrested.

According to preliminary data, on November 23, 2019, a resident of Lernahovit village reported to the police station in Tashir that between 00:30 and 02:30 on the same day, individuals committing apparent criminal acts illegally entered their house through an unlocked front door and stole a modest amount of cash totaling 105,000 AMD.

A criminal case has been initiated at the investigative department of the Lori Province in accordance with Part 3 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

As a result of investigative actions and operational measures undertaken, several circumstances of the case have been clarified, including the identities of the individuals suspected of committing the crime, who are residents of the Lori Province born in 1999 and 1991. They have since been arrested.

According to the investigation, the suspects entered the house with prior agreement on the aforementioned date and time while taking advantage of the unlocked front door on the first floor and the fact that the homeowner was asleep. They carefully used tape taken with them to bind the mouth of the sleeping homeowner in the bedroom, stole the money, and fled the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. Measures are being taken to ensure an objective, complete, and multifaceted examination of the circumstances of the case.
