Director of Company Arrested for Stealing Fireproof Safe

As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out by the police, on November 24, Shant Tumanyan, a 38-year-old resident of Kajaran, was taken into custody by the police department in Kapan.

According to photojournalist SHAMSHYAN.com, he is suspected of stealing a metal fireproof safe from the apartment of individual entrepreneur Haykanush Galstyan, which contained 20,000 USD and 25 pieces of various weights and types of gold jewelry.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, Tumanyan not only confessed to the crime but also led the police to the stolen fireproof safe. Tumanyan is the director of the Zangezur Biosphere Complex State Non-Commercial Organization, Zangezur branch.

As previously reported, a criminal case was initiated in the Siunik regional investigation department of the Armenian Investigative Committee regarding the fact of residential burglary.
