Community Mayor's Wife Registered as a Guard: New Revelations
The investigative team of the Masis division of the police has gathered substantial evidence through extensive operational and investigative measures indicating that the former and current leaders of the Ararebuir community in the Ararat region unlawfully registered the current mayor's wife as a guard at the community hall from 2011 to 2019, using their official position, despite her never having reported for work. The guarding duties were performed by the current mayor's grandfather, who received a salary and signed an attendance record on behalf of the mayor's wife.
Additionally, the former community leader submitted fake certificates to the regional social assistance agency three times between 2011 and 2015, claiming that the current mayor's wife was an employee of the Ararebuir community hall and was on maternity leave. Based on these fraudulent certificates, the current mayor's wife has reportedly been registered in the 'Childcare Allowance' program of the social assistance agency and has received cash benefits for three children, both as a one-time childbirth assistance and monthly payments for two years.
According to preliminary data, the former and current leaders of the Ararebuir community misused their official powers by preparing false employment records to fabricate work experience and embezzle community funds, creating and signing fake documents for the employment, leave approval, and salary issuance of the current mayor's wife. A criminal case has been initiated regarding these apparent offenses, and measures are underway to clarify all circumstances. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
