Police Discover Thieves Who Robbed 80-Year-Old Senior Citizen, Stole 105,000 Dram
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Lori Province of the Armenian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under article 177, part 3, point 1.1 of the RA Criminal Code, as reported by shamshyan.com.
Within the framework of this criminal case, investigators from the Stepanavan investigation department have arrested 28-year-old Ashot Minasyan, a resident of Tashir city, and 20-year-old Nver Egntatossyan, a resident of Arzni village.
At around 5:00 AM on November 23, the Tashir police received a report from a resident of Lernahovit village, who stated that thieves had broken into the home of his 80-year-old uncle, Edward Baghdasaryan, also a resident of the same village. The perpetrators had stolen money after attempting to strangle the elderly man and binding his mouth and neck.
The victim, who is a pensioner, had approximately 105,000 dram stolen from him, which he needed for his daily expenses.
