Assassination Attempt on Arshak Hakobyan's Protégé, Criminal Figure 'Potyo'
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 258 and Part 1 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, following the directive of Garnik Matevosyan, the acting head of the investigative department for the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of the Yerevan investigative committee.
The investigative team is conducting an inquiry into the gunshots that were fired on November 21 in Yerevan, when an unknown person discharged a firearm at 74 Tigran Mets Avenue, shattering the windows of a house. At the scene, police officers and investigators discovered 24 spent cartridges.
According to information from G. Shamshyan, the house is owned by criminal authority Petros Harutyunyan, who is known in the criminal world as 'Potyo'. His godfather is Arshak Hakobyan, the former head of security for General Vladimir Gasparyan, former head of the Armenian police.
The photojournalist also reports that the gunshots were likely aimed at 'Potyo' with the intent to kill, but he was not at home at the time. The damaged Toyota Corolla with the license plate number 33 XX 136 has been moved to the police's special guarded area in Erebuni. Additionally, there are numerous cameras installed in the area, and law enforcement can use them to identify the shooter.
