Video: Police Release Footage of Levon Sargsyan Arrested in Russia
The police have released a video regarding Levon Sargsyan (known as Lyov from Alragh), who was identified and arrested in Russia. Earlier, we reported that as a result of extensive operational-search activities conducted jointly by the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the RA Police, the representation of the Armenian Police in Russia, and the relevant units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, on November 21, a 51-year-old resident of Yerevan, Levon Hrachyayi Sargsyan, was apprehended in Zelenograd, Moscow Oblast.
He had been wanted since October 1, 2018, under articles 175 (part 3, points 1-2) and 223 (part 2) of the RA Criminal Code. It is noteworthy that he is a former member of the National Assembly, having served from 1999 to 2007. Levon Sargsyan is famously known by the nickname Lyov from Alragh.
The police have reported that his extradition is currently being addressed. It is important to mention that Levon Sargsyan is accused of ordering a robbery that occurred 11 years ago at the residence of Armen Avetisyan.
