Gagik Tsarukyan's statement about the disappointment of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi after meeting with Haik Marutyan has sparked heated discussions. Although the mayor’s press secretary denied the information, representatives of the Crown Prince revealed remarkable details from their meeting with Marutyan.

In a report by Kentron TV, the representatives of Crown Prince Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Jaber and Adel al-Marzouqi, shared that initially the mayor arrived late to the meeting and then made them wait, stating that they needed to wait for the mayor.

Regardless, the meeting eventually started. The investors presented their ambitious projects, for which they needed land, which is why they reached out to the mayor.

“The mayor's response simply astonished us. He literally told us that we do not have land and as a municipality, we cannot be of assistance. He said we should go to the private sector and look to buy areas. Why did we even go to meet the mayor then? This was very disappointing for us. At that time, the Crown Prince was also in Armenia, and he called me regarding a very important issue. I apologized for taking 10 seconds to respond, to let him know I was in a meeting. After that, the mayor told us he thought it was pointless to continue our meeting. He rudely dismissed us in a very uncivilized manner.

He said it’s not acceptable to speak on the phone during a meeting, even though I explained the importance of the call and that it was directly related to our meeting. After that, the mayor interrupted the meeting without any explanation, which was very offensive for us. From the first minute to the last, the mayor's behavior was shameful. If it weren't for our respect for Mr. Tsarukyan and the fact that he organized the meeting, we would have left ourselves. We were ready to invest $300-400 million just for the construction of hospitals and hotels. The investments for the renovation and construction of new metro stations would have reached billions of dollars,” shared the Crown Prince’s representative.
