Prisoner Who Escaped from Hospital Still Being Sought

On the morning of November 18, 31-year-old Arayik Sargsyan, a convict who escaped from the "Erebuni" medical center, has still not been found. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service, Nona Novikyan.

"The escaping convict is still being searched for," she noted.

The spokesperson for the Minister of Justice, Lusine Martirosyan, also mentioned that the Minister has initiated an internal investigation. According to her, the investigation is still ongoing, and no dismissals have occurred based on its findings.

Two employees of the "Nubarashen" penitentiary were assigned to supervise the inmate receiving treatment, and according to reports, they have already been dismissed from their positions.

Regarding the escaped individual, he is known by the nickname "Mowgli" and has a prior history of seven convictions.
