Prosecutor's Office Investigates Information on Serzh Sargsyan's Villa in Italy
The Prosecutor's Office is looking into the reports regarding a villa owned by former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Italy. “As part of the media monitoring conducted at the Prosecutor's Office, we have recorded publications regarding this statement, and we are examining it,” said Gor Abrahamyan, the advisor to the Prosecutor General, in an interview with Factor.am.
Such information was disseminated today by the Sasna Tsrer party. The statement mentioned, in particular, that “we have information that Serzh Sargsyan’s son-in-law, Mikayel Minasian, has purchased a luxurious villa for him in a wealthy neighborhood of Rome, Italy, under another name. The villa, valued at 20 million USD, is located at Via di Sant’Anselmo, 10.”
We attempted to get a comment from Mary Harutyunyan, head of Serzh Sargsyan's office. However, she did not respond to our calls and messages. We also reached out to Mikayel Minasian, former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican and Sargsyan's son-in-law, but our written inquiry went unanswered.
