Pashinyan's Advisor Mesrop Arakelyan Made Absurd and Unacceptable Statement: Arthur Vanetsyan

The President of the Federation's Internal Audit and Compliance Committee, Mesrop Arakelyan, an advisor to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has made an absurd and unacceptable statement regarding Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Federation does not share his opinion. Arthur Vanetsyan stated this during a conversation with reporters following his resignation as president of the Federation, as reported by news.am.

“Today, one of the heads of the Federation's independent committees, Mesrop Arakelyan, made an absurd and unacceptable statement, saying that Henrikh Mkhitaryan's captain's armband should be taken away from him. I want to declare that this is exclusively the personal opinion of that individual. The Federation does not share this, and furthermore, condemns such statements. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is one of the best football players in the history of Armenia; I would say the only one. He is Armenia's ambassador around the world. With his devoted play in the national team, he has proven that he deserves to bear the role of the team captain and wear that armband,” said Arthur Vanetsyan.
