New President of the Football Federation of Armenia to be Elected on December 23, Ruben Rubinyan
The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia has concluded.
At the end of the session, the president of the FFA, Arthur Vanetsyan, stated that they discussed the current situation surrounding Armenian football with the committee members.
“As a result of the discussion, I proposed to the committee members to accept my resignation,” said Arthur Vanetsyan.
FFA Executive Committee member Ruben Rubinyan also confirmed that Arthur Vanetsyan decided to resign from the position of president of the federation.
“We have accepted that resignation and expressed our gratitude to Mr. Vanetsyan for our joint work. We have assessed our achievements together. Discussing the overall situation, we have come to the conclusion that the federation and Armenian football need to recover and that we should initiate a recovery process,” announced Rubinyan.
He noted that a meeting has been scheduled for December 23, during which the new president and executive committee of the FFA will be elected.
