I Know Well the Value of Peace. Any Negotiation, Even Bad, is Preferable to War. Serzh Sargsyan

The President of the Republican Party of Armenia and the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, is participating in the congress of the European People's Party (EPP) taking place in Zagreb, Croatia, where he delivered a speech.

Among various issues, the third president also spoke about the current phase of negotiations regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Addressing Azerbaijan's aggressive statements, Sargsyan noted, “The current negotiation phase of the Artsakh conflict raises concerns for me. As a person who participated in the self-defense process of Artsakh, I know well the value of peace. In this regard, any negotiation—even a bad one—is preferable to war.

It is very important that the mediation efforts of the co-chairs of the Minsk Group receive the unreserved support of the international community. Unfortunately, we are witnessing how Azerbaijan continues to arm itself and threatens both Artsakh and Armenia. I want Baku to hear my message again: Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan, and this issue has no military solution,” Sargsyan stated.
