«Zhamanak». ARF Will Not Support Masis Mayilyan in Artsakh
«Zhamanak» newspaper writes: Despite the close relationship between Davit Ishkhanian, a representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Central Committee in Artsakh, and Artsakh’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and potential presidential candidate Masis Mayilyan, Ishkhanian has reportedly promised that the ARF will support Mayilyan’s candidacy only if he runs. However, according to our information, Ishkhanian will be unable to keep this promise. The reason is that the de facto leader of the party, Grant Margaryan, has decided that the party will support Vitaly Balasanyan. The rationale behind this decision is that Balasanyan is positioned as a strong opponent of the Armenian authorities, while Mayilyan is not.
