Video: Asphalt Collapses in Russia, Car Passengers Fall into Boiling Water Pit, Casualties Reported

A LADA Largus vehicle fell into a boiling water pit at a parking lot of a store in Penza, Russia, resulting in 2 fatalities. According to reports from НТВ, the driver and one passenger managed to escape from the car, but they were unable to exit the pit.

The car and the bodies of the victims were retrieved using a crane. Prior to the incident, another vehicle had passed along the same road, and its driver noticed steam rising from the ground and took an alternate route.

Eyewitnesses recounted, "After that, they arrived, parked the car in that area, and shortly thereafter the asphalt collapsed."
